Who’s That Girl?
Laura Salyards Fryberger , CFM, is the owner and primary event designer of Flings Event Design. Laura is originally from Duluth, Minnesota. She completed her BA in Behavioral Science & Law from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. After working as a professional event coordinator for the Savannah College of Art & Design and Minnesota Monthly, Laura started Flings Event Design in September 2004.
She is an active Twin Cities community member volunteering her event planning skills to several local non-profit organizations such as the Family Tree Clinic, the Northeast Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and the board of Women Who Really Cook. Laura is ServSafe certified and holds a certificate in Festival and Event Management from the University of Minnesota Tourism Center and has been practicing social- and eco-conscious event planning since she started her career in 2001.
Laura’s organized nature, sparkling enthusiasm, and genuine love for the art of event planning has been apparent in over 170 highly esteemed events she has designed ranging from eight to 15,000 attendees.
